BOOK REVIEW by Sh. Kundan Kashmiri

 MY FEW LINES ABOUT A BOOK,"KASHMIR HINDU RELIGIOUS CULTURE". AND ABOUT  ITS AUTHOR SH. CHAMAN LAL GADOO -------------- Kundan Kashmiri, KPC Chief.                                                                                                                                              

                I would like to avail an opportunity to pen down a few lines about a book, namely         " Kashmir Hindu Religious Culture" authored by Sh. Chaman lal Gadoo, having nine important chapters , including historical back ground of Kashmir,its religious culture,religious shrines and tirthas, Mahatamyas,, Vedic traditions, Mother Goddess Bhavani, Vaishnavism, Shaivism and ritual culture. This book has virtually kept our memories a live about our Kashyap Bhoomi,  in which author  has fully explained about its history, culture  ethos and traditions as well as our religious imprint in Kashmir valley.
        This book also itself tells us about deep knowledge of the author Sh. C.L.Gadoo, who is also a senior leader of KP community, credited with gifted calibre to pen down the remembrance of yesterday years of our birth place. Such remembrances of the past remind us of the heydays and appeals to every readers mind set.
           This book is priceless gift to the community in exile disseminating information and knowledge  and also speaks in volume about the author  and his mastery, a God given gift of creativity to convey a message in simple words, understandable language even to commoner. This book is also a true reflection of author,s constructive thinking  and a beacon light to the community and   a documentary evidence establishing the fact that the Kashmir has been abode  of Almighty  and its revered angle  soul,s  descended from heaven world. This book also makes us wiser , informative  and serve as factual documentary Proof  for the progeny to understand the ground reality of Mouj Kasheer( Kashyap Bhoomi), the Kashmir valley. 
           The author of the said book Sh. Gadoo. sahab  is selfless worker and a community leader who has dedicated  hie entire life in the service of the KP community. Inspite of his old- age factor, he is yet to seen preoccupied  in the service of uplifting  the exiled community members. Every word he speaks or writes has some purpose  and reflects his incomparable creative acumen.  Sh. Gadoo Sahab is a down to earth  a practical man, broad minded and believing  in the service towards the mankind  in general and KP community in particular. He is highly respected member of the great Kashmiri Pandit Community endowed with the practical wisdom and enlightened man with qualities of head and heart . He is known for his varied experience and is an estoppel of wit and wisdom He possesses the virtue of strategic thinking   and has ability to influence others and also to act out box, the actual trait needed by a good  author  and a leader.                                                      
   I applaud and appreciate  with reverence  his dedication , hard work and research work in compiling the material collected from various sources, giving it a shape of a book for the progeny  which is the greatest service he has been doing for the community on the whole.
     This book, Kashmir Hindu religious Culture, has been recently been  released   at a function of Shuhul Taaph--2015 at New Delhi and his another book namely" The temples in Kashmir" was released a couple of years back by Yog Guru, Swami Ram Dev Ji  at Patan- Jali, Haridwar and myself was witness of both the grand functions. Both these books are masterpiece replica of his adapt skill which to be considered as the books for all time to read and treasure to store for the progeny and other Hindus of the world. 
       
  I pray to God for his good health and long life to serve the community and mankind.
